i also have an idea for some serious power in the wheels. this motor is vey low RPM/KV so i tihnk with a 3 or 4 cell lipo i could still get some decent wheel speed and have all the low end grunt i can handle. its a 5mm shaft, so i was thinking about changing the spur gear to a 1/8th mod1 gear so i could get a pinion for it. I will have to fabricate a new motor mount plate to go in place of the stock one, which wont be too difficult. the hardest part will be making the mount adjustable because the motor mounts with a 3 hole setup, not 2 like most motors. any ideas you guys have on that would be welcome.
i think the motor gets about 570 rpm/V by doing 11,400/20volts. does that sound right?
