Regarding shaft diameters, most 540-sized and 550-sized canister motors have either 1/8" shafts (for the smaller sized can length motors, such as 50mm) or 5mm shafts (for the larger sized can length motors, 50mm to 80mm, and beyond). Larger motors have 6mm shafts.
