Dare I say, try a 3s lipo instead of 4s- that would lower the speed while keeping the rpms at an acceptable level (30k), you would just need to re-gear with a larger pinion to hit your ideal speed of about 35-40mph say, or something in that region. If you dont have a 3s lipo, a cheap ebay/ hobbycity item would do just for testing purposes- no great loss if it goes **puff** or doesnt work out well in the temps department (thinking esc/ motor temps might possibly not improve due to higher gearing load and fewer volts, but you never know...).
