A member for 3 years and you didnt know a sensored esc can only run sensored motors? Wow, did your parents keep you locked in a cupboard or what?...
Anyways, it is the motor that 'beeps' (phases fired out of sequence to generate an audible tone/ vibration). BL motors tend to be very notchy (especially with 4 poles compared to 2) and so are difficult to rotate by hand.
And finally, the rotor IS the magnet & shaft- if you can rotate the shaft whilst the magnet stays still, you have a big problem- more likely the bushings/ spacers on the shaft inside the motor rubbing against the bearings a little.
