I think you'll be happy with that. Even when the velcro gets dirty or worn, it's cheap and easy to replace. Actually, in a few on my setups where I'm using Mike's trays, I'm not using the included straps in favor of this setup; I find it easier to install the batteries because I'm not fiddling with trying to get the strap end into the little plastic loop thingie (yes, that's the technical term ).
