I ultimately did this for my battery trays. I found some nice big velco straps at my local ACE hardware that had a loop around hole. I reversed the battery trays so they would open up from the inside out, MUCH easier to get the batteries in and out. I also went ahead and cut the clips off as they were useless now with the trays reversed. I also put in some extra foam padding to prevent my Lipos from shifting around which helps prevent wear and tear on the wires. I also had to cut some bigger holes for the wiring to be routed as I didn't get very long leads on my SMC's and put some electric tape around the edges to prevent fraying of the wires
