HI!... Well I got some unexpected carnage today. Took the old E-REVO out to test the new front spoiler and after about 25 minutes of bashing, I started ti hear a horrible grinding noise. I shut everything off and brought it in the house. At 1ST I thought I broke a driveshaft or axles but they all seemed fine. So I tore down the tranny. The pics below is what I found. When I originally bought my E-REVO it was practically new but used. The previous owner had installed the two speed conversion in the trans. I converted it back to a single speed. But "STUPID" me, when I converted it back to a single speed, I forgot to remove the extra bearing in the trans case. Well after a few months now it must of worked it's way loose and fell into my TRAXXAS CD. It ended up shredding a bunch of teeth off the CD. Everything else in the tranny is perfect. Just not the CD. Oh well I'll have to buy another one.
Since the CD was toast, I decided to take it apart. The "OIL" that's in these things is more like a really thick bearing grease, than oil.
