Actually, the fact that it's your rear tires that are bald would tell me that you aren't running a CD, and vice versa. If you don't like changin tires, you should either invest in some beadlock wheels or buy a new set of wheels for all of your tires.
Moabs, Badlands, or Zombie-max tires are very good offroad treads.
