Traxxas plugs aren't always so easy. When soldering the tabs, you have to make sure to get almost NO solder past the line, otherwise the tab won't "click" in to the housing. And in that process you can easily take up twice as much time as it would take to solder a Deans. After having soldered many of both types, I still prefer Deans (which I've been using for a good 5-6 years).
