I could Not agree with you more GD. Seems like we have members here with strong feelings, and we have a few people who are just jumping on the bandwagon.

I would urge the members here that do not have personal experience with maxamps packs and the employees of maxamps not to "run your mouth". I am sure you have all read the various "complaints" that certain member have had with MA (me included). Real world experience with the product is a requirement to me if you want to be critical. No real need to keep bringing up the maxamps debacle, as we are all painfully aware of it. I like a good laugh as much as the next person, and the industry leader bit had me chuckling. Lets just leave MA to themselves and view their patrons as under-informed people. If they wanted the best lipo out there they would have made the effort to research. Since they did not I feel no pity or need to educate people like that.

As far as providing data to back up my claims, I look at my lipo experience as an accomplished street racer looks at engine building. You have to start somewhere, and maxamps lipos are like building a NA engine with hyperutectic pistons. Sure they both get the job done, but when you figure out how to fine tune the carb (rc) you will quickly find the limitations and end up with a costly mess.. I do not need graphs and charts to tell me which product has a superior design and build quality. Handling an enerland cell in one hand and a MA in the other is like holding gold and lead. I wish I could have everyone here do that just once, as it would end any argument quickly.

I have had their (MA) lipos apart, and there is no way the narrow paper thin tabs can handle the rated discharge specs. I have compared them to proven enerland products and found them lacking in all aspects. Even the shrink was thinner on the MA packs. Plus I have had more issues with self discharge on MA packs. I have also dealt with their staff and have had issues there too. My experience with MA has been more involved than most, I will agree. I still repair and reconfig their packs weekly and have seen the progression of the cell quality for a few years now. I am far from a lipo expert, but have more experience than I care to have with these sub-standard products (in comparison to the other cells available).

Bottom line is that MA is selling a product that is not superior to other high end lipos at a price that meets or exceeds the competition. Hard to fault that logic.

None of this should be taken as a rant, just information that I think is necessary to solidify my approach to enlightening the valued members of this forum. We have a great group here, lots of smart guys with plenty of brains. Lets use that for the benefit of this forum and stay out of MA way, I can see now that trying to talk sense with them is like pushing water up a wall. Can't really blame them, any sign of weakness on their part will be taken as failure.
