It's best to check the current draw. Get an e-logger or something. Is your motor running hotter then before? Are you using bigger tires? Are you running the truck on a different surface?

You can definitely replace your MMM with a HW150A. Just don't play around with the timing and punch setting. Leave them on default values. I have my 150A for like 4 days and I am very pleased with it. It runs just lukewarm on my 4.3Kg modded e-savage with a KB457L, 4S lipo 21/58 gearing.

Peak current on asphalt was 105A.
