I am the opposite of you ZPB. I started with lipo and after a while got some decent enerland based lipos. I have tried all of the cheap lipos as well. I then gave a123 a try and was a bit dissapointed. They were too heavy, bulky and just did not perform as I would have expected. Voltage drop was very noticeable with them even in a 2p config.
The are more robust and are supposed to last longer than lipo, I can appreciate that as being very desirable for alot of applications, especially cordless tools.
I like the fact you are testing those hyperion packs for the rest of us. I may have to break down and by new lipos! Time to sell off the current bunch I have... That will take a while...
