1) Time will tell I guess- looking forward to your findings.
2) Given the difference in cost and sell prices, maxamps could probably afford to swallow that loss, to keep customers happy more often. I doubt Zippy would replace a bad pack with a better one, but thats probably because the maxamps packs were being replaced anyway with the better ones; the number of times they have only offered people a discount on new packs to replace bad ones cant be ignored, but its good that you got a free upgrade for sure.
