Welcome aboard! Mike carries most everything you need for a good Brushless conversion, I just wish he could get some cheaper lipos in stock (the ones he has are good, but many people are on a budget that doesn't allow super-expensive lipos).

With the Mamba Max and that big Medusa I'd watch ESC temps and perhaps add a fan. I'd probably start off with a 14T pinion and adjust gearing from there based on temps and performance.

Mike is currently working on a new heatsink/clamp specifically for the Medusa motors to block off the cooling holes (keep dirt out of the motor) and be sized properly for the new 70 and 80mm motors. If you don't want to wait until they come out you could cover up the holes with some electrical tape and get a "XL" sized heatsink clamp (74mm) with one of his 4mm spacer plates at the front. The clamp is a very good investment because the endbells on the Medusa motors are glued in place and came come loose while bashing causing serious damage to your motor, they also reduce the temperature by up to 40 degrees (I'd expect at least a 20 degree drop) which makes the motor run cooler and thus more efficiently.

All I ever wanted was an honest weeks pay for an honest days work.
