This would be very cool considering it would be possible (if you so wanted) to very your ROF (rate of fire).
My friends are into airsoft guns and I'm their source of battery knowledge. I charge their lipo's for them since they don't want to spend money on a charger.
But anyway, you could make it so that at full throttle you obviously have maximum firing speed but you can let off on the trigger and have it slow down the firing rate to conserve ammo or something. Also, I would suggest you make it so that the motor brakes when the trigger is released.
