My brother is into airsoft guns (his are more like airsoft cannons!) and I've been wanting to rig up a BL setup so he could pull a massive spring and get even an even more insane rate of fire. I don't remember the motor he said he had but it was about $90 and on a 9.6v it shoots faster than most of his magazines can feed and drains ammo too fast. If you could slow it down the added efficiency (longer battery life) would be nice but BL is so much more expensive than brushed because it requires an external commutator (ESC, mechanical commutation is possible but highly inefficient and wouldn't work too well especially in this instance).
