Oh, okay, my dad has these pretty long and big rivets.....

So this wouldn't work?

Picture.....

I know, I know, crappy as hell drawing ain't it?

Canary yellow is the rim, the weird sun shine rays is the spokes of the rim, the black thing is the hex, green lines are the rivets..Red arrow thingy is just a little blowup picture of the spot of the rim.
