I have a question though, what the inside diameter of the can, and the wall thickness (rear endbell area once the fan unit is removed)? It might be possible to bore out the PLett on a lathe and turn it into a heatsink for a 36mm motor, like a neu 1415, lehner or my medusa perhaps...
