So, the 1.5Y is 3025Kv. When I did my calcs, I figured a max 4S voltage of 16.8 volts (is that right?), which would put this motor at a theoretical max of 50,820 RPM. At the same time, when I play around on 2S, it will only top out at 25K RPM. Is that going to make it a dog on 2S, or do I just gear it up and hope it's got plenty of torque?
I'm new to custom motors where you can select the KV rating. I just assumed you'd want the max RPMs at your max voltage. Am I going about this wrong? Honestly, the motor will spend 75% of it's time on 2S, but it needs to be able to handle the 4S as well.
