Oh, I saw that thing. I was looking for something that didn't have holes, or had some kind of micro-mesh to keep dirt out completely, but allow for breathing. I didn't realize that item was the one some use.

I don't quite get it though.... RC Trucks... dirt.... grass.... dust... and getting dirt in the motor is obviously not a good thing. It's almost like a major design flaw if you ask me. If BL motors can fry if they get dirty... than why bother?? This hobby is based off dust and dirt!

That being said... only "Dust" is the real problem mostly. The body generally keep dirt out pretty well. But I was hitting some dirt mounds the other day with my 3.3 Revo, and dirt was everywhere. All over the filter, the shocks, chassis, etc. So, had I ran my brushless trucks that day, would it have been a catastrophic run? What about dudes in Iraq or near the beach? Are they just not supposed to run BL motors?


Am I missing something?
