Well, represented in an unofficial way.
I'll be participating in a race out here on Guam next week Sunday, 23AUG. As far as I know, I'm going to be the only 1/8 and 1/12 conversion running in the field. So far, it looks like there's gonna be at least 3 classes:
1/8 Truggy
1/8 Buggy
1/12 Mini-Truggy
and possibly:
Short-Course Truck
Stadium Truck
It's going to be the first race we've had in a long while (last race was in 2007or 2006) and it'll be my first real competitive race. I'm stoked.
I plan on running in 4 classes; both 1/8 cats, the 1/12 cat and the Stadium truck cat. As it stands, all my conversions are RCM-based...so I'm looking forward to putting the name out there. I'm not sponsored by anyone...sadly. Oh well...one step at a time. It's possible that I may just run in the two truggy cats, although with the new-to-me X1-CR, it might be a shame to not run it. I'll figure it out.
But...I just thought I'd let you folks know that I'd be racing with the RCM stickers on my vehicles. I don't know if that's ok or not. If it isn't, then I'll gladly take the steps neccessary to rectify the situation. I don't want to do anything improper or to step on anyone's toes.
If anyone has feedback, please feel free to chime in. I want to make you guys (and the site) proud, but not at the expense of infringing on anything.
I should also be able to get some video of the event. My girl will be trying to take video, and I believe the guy from the LHS is going to try and take some video too. Whatever I can get my hands on, I will...and I'll be sure to put up a link for your enjoyment.
Also...one last thing: I wasn't able to find any regs on 1/8 Electric truggy. Would you folks happen to know where I can look to find 'em? I went through the ROAR rulebook (frikkin 91 pages long) and all I could find was 1/8 Electric Buggy. We have a meeting tonight regarding the rules and regs for the race, and I need to bring something regarding how many pits I need to make (if any), how long the pit must be as well as what cells I might be limited to running.
Any feedback on this would be greatly appreciated as well.
So....that's my spiel. Your thoughts?
