If you have any center diff you will experience some unloading to the front wheels during hard acceleration, and during speed runs. The power will always go to the path of least resistance, which is the front wheels, due to weight transfer and aerodynamic lift to the front end at speed.

If you want to wring out the most speed possible, swap the solid tranny output shaft back in.
