My problem is not fitting over the axle, they slip on perfectly (which means he drilled them exactly correct).
My problem is the pin hole is not large enough. The pin fits through the adapter by itself, as well as through the axle (obviously its a stock pin).
The problem is once the adapter is on the axle it will not go all the way through (its like a tenth of a MM from going). One of them mounted up perfect, the other 3 I cant get the pin through. I think im just going to open up the pin hole a TINY bit so there is more space so they can go through.
THe second problem, is the axle pin hole is drilled on the VERY edge of the adapter, so there is about 1mm of space between the mounted adapter and the bearing. This of course results in slop. I asked if he wanted to take measurements and redrill them (probably yes) or if he wanted to include shims to shim out the difference so there is no gap.
Still waiting on a response...!
I will try to get a picture up soon. I have some 1/8 badlands on one side of the truck and some Ofna Blaser SST stadium tires/wheels (no longer made, but I think they are the perfect bashing size. About 3/4 inch taller and about 3/4 inch wider than the badlands 1/8 tires).
I think 1/8 buggy tires are going to be the best overall though, for racing/bashing etc. Its just nice having a slightly taller tire to gain ground clearance for really rough terrain.
