The TP 40C and the G3 35's are pretty close in performance, looking at graphs from RC Groups user 'everydayflyer'. But in some setups, you will be able to tell a difference, notably your 3s setup.

I also found that I don't use as much throttle to cruise around the track with the G3's compared to the Enerland packs, it's like the nominal voltage is higher, because I would only be drawing maybe 10 amps in the technical parts of the track, and I am pretty sure my finger is not pulling the trigger as much.
