Up to 12s lipo at up to 160 amps, by my math that's over 7,000 watts with the lipos at nominal voltage. That should be plenty to handle a 1/5th scale.
I would say it depends on your application. MasterBlaster's Baja has a Neu 2215 in it and it goes like stink! The highest KV I would go for is the 2Y on 10S, go lower KV and more voltage if you can. A Neu 2230 will power any 1/5th scale R/C currently on the market as long as the ESC and lipos can handle it but that is a $700 motor capable of putting out over 13 HP. |
