Actually feigao rotors are sintered. All sintered magnets are one piece that run the whole length of the rotor (except for some feigaos which have two or three magnets next to each other). The process of making them is from bits of magnetic material ground up into a paste, then molded into shape. They can be nickel plated or wrapped, so can't always tell that a rotor is sintered just by looking at it.
