Keep the DX-3. It's a great system, and you'd just end up paying for another 2.4 system.

Neil, I dont think you noticed that it's the 3905 Emaxx, not the 3906 ("The erevo with a few choice tweaks will pown the old emaxx platform any day of the week, hands down"). However, that being said, the E-Revo will still out handle it.

You've got a decent basher MT there - the low cost option for you is to ditch that motor system for a stronger brushless system that can get you into the 50mph range (MMM or Tekin). I'd also ditch that Hitech - it's not much better than the stock version. Get something with a torque up over 300, such as a Hitech 7955, or find a used 5955 (is that the right number??).

You have a little better options battery wise with that Maxx than you do with an E-Revo (pretty much limited to 2S due to the battery trays - I think there are one or two versions of 3S that will fit).

Losi 8T 1.0, Savage Flux - XL style, LST XXL, Muggy, 3.3 E-Revo Conversion and sitting outside 425hp, 831 Tq Dodge Ram Turbo Diesel. It SMOKES
