Reason he can't gear down is that there is limited gearing room on the Hyper 9E with the Neu and Tekin sized motors. I would say that the Tekin 1900Kv motor would be a good choice or if you want a Neu motor you could look into the Neu 1512 2050Kv motor, if you are looking into the later drop me a as I have one I am not using recently serviced. You trim the lower fin and you probably can gear to a 13T pinion I am thinking.

Or, you could do a 3S setup with your current motor. That should work really well too and I have heard of others doing it.
