I have the Tekin 1900 and I can't imagine a motor that is better than what I use it for. On 4s I can gear it up to 20/46 in my 8ight with temps barely hitting 140f, but typically a 14-17 tooth pinion is enough for most tracks with temps between 110-130. The equivalent pinion in the hyper 9e is about a half a tooth larger than that in an 8ight. 16/46 in the 8ight should be just short of 40mph.

One thing about the Tekin 1900 is that it is Y wound which means it is slightly more efficient than D wound motors and responds better to changes in timing. I stick with zero timing, but if I want a little more punch and rpm, i could just bump up the timing a little. You can't really do that with D wound motors.
