Just to satisfy my curiosity, how is the HW150 ESC setup from stock to connect two batteries? I haven't been able to find any good pics. All the pics look like it's just the + and - coming out of the board.
EDIT: Are there two male Dean's plugs in series stock out of the box on the HW150? If so, think about maybe making a simple jumper with a female Dean's plug and a small piece of 12G silicone wire. You would just need to short the wire across both tabs of the female Deans and plug it in to one of the males, the battery would connect to the other male. This way, you can use one battery for now, and if you decide to upgrade to two in the future you don't need to make/buy a series adapter.
BEHOLD MY MIGHTY GIMP SKILLS!!! Anyway, you get the point. Making a small jumper is cheaper and easier than modifying the wires for single battery operation, and then having to make/buy a series adapter if you ever decide to run two batteries.
