I personally love doing these things myself(expecially soldering
). I love the self satisfaction I get knowing I made it with my hands and I also get the peace of mind knowing who made it and that it'll stay together. Even if it did cost a bit more for me to do t myself i'd go that route because you don't know who made it and their workman ship.
