great looking project dude. keep it up. its gonna be a fast lil b*. i have done a lot of working with carbon and there is a way to get the kickup and and bends that you need. get a propane plumbers torch from your local hardware store and once you have cut your basic chassis shape use the torch to heat the carbon. be sure not to get the hot "point" of the flame to close or it will bubble the carbon. practice with some scrap pieces before you do the actual chassis you will use. anyway heat for about 5 minutes from a few inches away. then proceed to bend the chassis to the angle you need. i would always use small clamps and after i bent the carbon i would clamp the carbon to the stock aluminum chassis so it will cool in the desired position. you will lose about a degree of angle but this works. i have done this with several 1/8 conversion and i race and bash hard and have never had one break. you will be fine with that. i would use a 2mm to 3mm carbon. also, after you have shaped your chassis you can cllamp to the stock one and use a sanding spindle on a dremel tool to go around the edges of the chassis and shape your carbon to the exact size of your aluminum chassis. good luck with the project and keep us updated.
