I wouldn't bother with Neu motors either, myself. My 1512/2.5D/Q just crapped out on me after a 5-month life of sealed screw holes and temps under 160dF. I've never seen anyone have problems with the CC/Neu 2200 motor, though. It's the standard motor for 1/8th scale, as far as I'm concerned. 5S would be a bit much, but having the option to just switch batteries (4S for racing, 5S for fun) is a major advantage over being locked into a lower kv.
