I have an HL 16th scale tank I will be putting brushless in in the future. Each motor will be controlled independently with each stick and I will be using two sidewinder micros and the lowest KV motor or possibly a small outrunner.
It can be done you just have to change it from how most tanks are done and ditch the stock electronics.
