Well, I know some here don't really like MaxAmps, never used them before myself but I've read some 'not so good' stories about them. When picking a LiPo for the MMM 2200kv combo 150A continuous would be preferred, like the Turnigy 5000mAh 30C which offer great price / performance.

Simple scheme:
Motor asks power from the Esc and Esc asks power from the LiPo

So if the motor asks for example 100A the Esc needs to be able to handle that amount, on it's turn the LiPo should be able to deliver what the Esc demands. So yes when you are at least 120A with your LiPo's it should be good, but as said before 150A is preferred.
