damn you friday the 13th.

i am not the superstitious type, but today, apparently, the dryrot on my f-150's tires had gotten bad enough for the driver's side front tire to leak air from a crack in the sidewall. i can actually feel the air coming out. if i fill the tire to 35psi, it's flat within 5 minutes. the other 3 tires are dry rotted as well, so now, i have to buy a full set of tires.

i guess it doesn't help that the humidity is almost always in the single digits here and it gets over 110F in the summer here. Las Vegas is the perfect climate for dry rot. anything rubber will crack and rot out here. rubber bands have a lifespan of about a day or 2 if left in the sun. 2 or 3 weeks if kept indoors.

They say a good mechanic only needs 2 tools - WD40 & Duct tape. If it moves, and its not supposed to, duct tape. If it doesn't move, and its supposed to, WD40.
