Same chemistry, same cell voltages and capacity, just a different form factor ( prismatic packs rather than metal cylinders essentially). Your initial suggested setup sounds fine, just use a suitable charger (LiFe capable/ 3.6-3.7v fully charged per cell) and you'll be good to go.
