i never do that, i thought it was too hard, so the best i do is cycle the piston up/down a lot and stick a rag in there as far as i can to get as much as i can out. then continue with the rest of the re-building. |

I've never been as thorough as either of you. Mine just sit upside down for a while. Now that I think about it. I haven't rebuilt too many shocks, changed the fluid on a lot of them. but not too many complete rebuilds under the belt.
