I see a lot of attraction to the vehicle in general.

A) If it's anything like my 2wd Slash was, it'll take a beating and just laugh at you.
B) Parts availability is going to be much better than Ofna/Jammin, for stock parts and aftermarket parts.
C) I wouldn't judge a truck based solely on how it may handle on a track. I really don't give a damn since mine probably will never see a track.

The price tower lists when an item first comes out isn't usually what they'll sell it for. It's already been stated on multiple forums that the Plat. Ed. will be almost the same price as the RTR. Keep an eye on the tower link, you'll see it decrease. My guess is they list that price based on the MSRP and then adjust it when they get actual per unit cost info from Traxxas.
