Mounting in a Muggy is a piece of cake and there is plenty of room for gearing. There's still space between the motor and chassis and I can push the motor all the way into the chassis brace and have the rotor so close you could probably put a 9T pinion (or maybe smaller) on it and not have an issue. Can't speak for other 1/8th scales but with a quick bit of Dremelling on the mount it mounts up very well. I'm glad they put 4mm mounting screws on this motor, it's heavy enough that the extra strength may come in handy.
