I've lost a couple of family members to cancer recently so after reading the thread title I was expecting something different. I'm soory to say I found your story a tad amusing.

I don't dislike cats but they are a PITA to local fauna. It wouldn't be so bad if they ate everything they killed but that only makes up 10%, they kill for fun.

As stated things like that happen sometimes. My sister used to have a rotweiler, good natured dog but my sister never left it alone with ANYONE. Thank god nothing did ever happen.
