[Finnster]

We have two dogs and a cat and have come home to some interesting scenes. Both dogs are strays from shelters, and the cat was owned by an old lady who couldn't care for it when she got older.

Needless to say, we got a the stray retriever 3rd of the bunch. We had to go to the store once right after we got him home and the cat was out. Gone for 20mins, came home and had over turned lamps, plants and blood sprayed on the wall. The retriever had gone after the cat, backed him into the corner, and proceeded to get his nose shredded by a pissed off cat w/ long claws. It was his blood thank god, cat was fine, and now they are friends (not that they have forgotten, dog is still scared of the cat, and the cat reminds him and harasses him 6 yrs later.)

Another time we came home to knocked over plants, lamps, things of shelves, a broken blind, a dead bird on the landing upstairs and several guilty looking pets. It was winter time, doors and windows shut and the cat had not been out in several days. I can only imagine wth was going on while we were gone. You never know with pets.

Anyway, sorry for the loss. At least the cat a had a better home and an a quicker death than had she never been found, even if it was just for a short while.
