The lst uses "mainly" std hardware, but also uses metric hardware on the cdv setscews as well as the hex pin setscrews, 2.5mm. You can swap out most of the hardware to m3 thread without doing any mods.
The lst2 is the desireable model, due to the really stout arms, cvds and hubs. Only upgrade I do to the suspension is to use new era al front knuckles, and shim everything. As far as tranny, do the FOC, use a tdr single speed hub and motor mount and you will be set. Diffs are usually shimmed great from the factory, but I check all of them as they are super easy to get to.
I like the plastic body shocks from the aftershock as they are considerably lighter.
I did do the muggy steering mod, I have not run it yet, but it is pretty easy to do. The stock servo savers can be beefed up a bit and work pretty well stock from my experience.
225 seems a bit high, unless the truck is in very lightly used shape. I have bought them for 150 or less (got my muggy for 100 even). Those were used rollers.
