i suspect that too, i got more punch out of it also with a123s, so i need bigger lipos. i did also throw my 2.8 stampede wheels/tires on and it did great for the truck, so i supect my gearing is low and lipo's too small. i do plan on getting fluids changed next chance i get to wrench on it.

i want larger tires, but the 2.8's are big so i'll be looking for some 2.2's for it since this is just a basher
