Sounds like he replaced the cap already, but not clear if he's tested the setup since.
Glitching could be a number of things, but since the setup has been running fine for a while, I would start looking at connectors. They do wear out, get dirty, get pitted (from the contact arc), etc. If they are degraded enough, they could be introducing resistance which would cause the LVC to kick in much sooner (higher resistance = voltage drop when current flows, making less voltage appear at the ESC).
Glitching could also be a radio issue, BEC voltage too low, or some electronic failure. If the cap is new and the connectors look good, you'll probably need to do more troubleshooting to isolate the real problem.
