We did some pretty extensive testing using the 26mm motors, and the results were generally not pretty. Even the most conservative setups struggled, but were sometimes manageable. The 1/16th E-Revo and Slash fall into a gray area for our motor lineup. The 20mm and 26mm are too small, and the 540 cans don't fit the stock setup. I have seen a conversion that allows you to mount a 540 or 550 can, and the results are... interesting. They have a 5700kV on 3s. And my personal favorite, the Monster with a Neu 1515/1Y on...6s. I've seen a video of it doing well over 70mph. Although we at Castle do not recommend such craziness, it's still pretty freaking cool.

Those are extreme setups of course, but a Sidewinder with a 4600kV or 5700kV will provide much more torque and speed than the stock setup. You would need to upgrade the batteries a bit to support the bigger motor and additional weight. Some people are choosing to put in a Sidewinder, Mamba Max or Mamba Max Pro in place of the stock controller, but using the stock motor. This gives you all of the Castle Link functions, and of course the Castle support to back you up. :)
