The way I see it is this:

Having the motor and diff / slipper unit mounted up front wont make the blindest bit of difference- all you are doing is shifting a few hundred grams of weight ( at most ) a few inches forwards; when you put 1.5-3 HP through the truck its still gonna pull wheelies and do standing backflips all the same...

As for it not being for racing- I think the chassis will be perfectly raceable, its no weaker or worse designed than a GorillaMaxx chassis, infact its better as its narrower and has a lower center of gravity due to the transmission design; so long as 6063 or better aluminium is used Im sure it'll be a race winner- just needs a good driver
