I think the G4 is a few mm longer than stock for some reason. I'm not sure about your bend issue, maybe excitement getting it out of the package, or your postman doesnt like you.

I think i agree with bushboy... it might just be a simple case of the G4 chassis being slightly longer than the stock chassis... or did you have a little accident during the build...
