get an hpi vented clutch bell. they are hardened and won't wear out like your stock clutch bell did. the stock gears are 17/47. if you are using a bigger spur gear, you will also need a bigger clutch bell to get the same top speed.

also, you can look in the instruction booklet and it tells you how to adjust the shift point in the transmission. you can set the shift point lower, so it shifts easier.

They say a good mechanic only needs 2 tools - WD40 & Duct tape. If it moves, and its not supposed to, duct tape. If it doesn't move, and its supposed to, WD40.
