There is nothing at all worng with silicon oils. Some just prefer grease as an alternative, because it is easier to handle. Personally I like grease over oil, because it is easier to clean up for me. Plus grease seems to hold up better and last longer in my experience. Nothing worng with oils at all. To each his own.
